The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, of Murray Tibando, husband of the late Theresa Tibando (nee Murphy), of Rustico, age 88. Murray was the loving father of Barbara Cape (Bob), Rusticoville and Frank Tibando (Ruth), Elmsdale, Ontario; grandfather of Michelle Montgomery, New Glasgow, Mike Montgomery (Jennifer), Alberta, Shelly Ford, Ontario and Angie Gulas, Ontario; and great-grandfather of eleven. He is also survived by his brother, Victor; and sisters, Augustina and Rose; sisters-in-law, June Tibando and Arabella Cole; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Theresa, Murray was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Frances (Graziano) Tibando; son, David Tibando; sisters, Frances and Josephine; brothers, Michael, Andrew and Frank; brothers-in-law, Basil Papaleo and John Panyon; and sister-in-law, Rose (Tanzola) Tibando.
No visitation or funeral by personal request. Interment in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Cemetery, North Rustico. If so desired, memorial donations to Stella Maris Cemetery or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
