It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather 'Pa', brother and uncle, Thomas David Hutchison on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Alfred and Eileen Hutchison.
Tommy worked for the Cape Breton Development Corporation (Devco) as an electrician and a welder for 30 years. He also worked in Alberta as an electrician for the past seven years.
Tommy enjoyed fishing, watching football, baseball and hockey. He was an avid Patriots, Dodgers and Blackhawks fan.
His most enjoyable moments came from spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, Brett, Lexi, Kate and Eve.
He is survived by his wife Debbie (Webb) of 41 years, daughter Tracy, son Freddie (Judi), brother Glen (Linda), sister Gladys (Randy) Jollie, sister-in-law Dorothy, as well as many nieces and nephews. Tommy is also survived by his mother and father- in-law Jack (Florence) Webb.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Clarence (Gully), brother-in-law Kenny Webb and son-in-law Tommy Heffernan.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at 6-8 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500.
Family flowers only by Tommy’s request. Donations may be made to palliative care.
