It is with deep sorrow that we, the family, announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, William 'Bee George' Desrosiers, 84, of New Waterford on Dec. 3, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Francis and Mary Elizabeth (Kendall) Desrosiers.
Bee George was a member of the former St. Agnes Church, currently the Parish Church of St. Leonard. A man of great work ethic, he was employed in the coal mines for 43 years until his retirement. Bee George loved watching sports, namely boxing, hockey and wrestling as well as going for drives around town. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At the early age of 60, Bee George suffered a stroke but through sheer determination was able to regain his health. In turn, he became witness to the many accomplishments of his family of whom he was so proud.
