FOUGERE, NELDA - Nelda Fougère, 88, wife of the late Clovis Fougère of Castel des Flots Bleu, Cap-Pelé, and formerly of Pointe-du-Chêne, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC following a lengthy illness. Born September 11, 1926 on Shediac Island, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Fougère) Clements. She was retired employee at Paturel Seafoods. She will be sadly missed by her four daughters: Marie-Élise Hackett (Leroy), Marie-Corinne Howard (David), Margarite-Anne LeBlanc (Eugene), Marie-May LeBlanc (Valmond); 10 grand-children, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson; a daughter-in-law, Linda; a sister, Bertha Gallant; many nieces, and nephews. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a son, Oscar Clements; her brothers and sisters: Yvonne, Leo, Ted, Louis, Levi, Elie, and Yvon.
The family will receive condolences Tuesday December 9th at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until departure (10:15). The funeral service will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-du-Chêne, Wednesday, December 10th at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Shediac.
