NISKI, WAYNE LEWIS - It is with sadness that the family of Wayne Niski announces his death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at the age of 49. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on May 4, 1965, he was the son of Juanita (Solomon) Paul and the late John Peter Niski. Wayne leaves behind his mother, Juanita Paul; sons, Wayne Lewis Niski II (Michele) and Nicholas Troy Levesque (Ashley), all of South Portland, ME; daughters, Caitlyn Levesque of South Portland, ME and Cassandra Niski of Dexter, ME; grandchildren, Ariana Niski, Scott Levesque and Kylie Williams; step-grandchildren, Logan and Dean (aka DJ); sisters, Lenora Smith (Michael Solomon) and Sarah Solomon (Peter), both of Kingsclear First Nation, NB; as well as special sister, Amanda Atwin; nephews, Micheal Jon (Erynn), Peter Jr. (Tonya) Brandon (Robin) and Logan (Kasi); nieces, Starr, Danielle (Cora), Courtney (Jake) and Dezara; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and God-son, Trey Mossop. In addition to his father, John, Wayne was predeceased by his brothers, Troy Edward Smith III, Michael Edward Niski and John Edward Niski. Wayne will be remembered as a proud father and loyal friend to everyone he knew. He was a hardworker with a wonderful sense of humor who enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Tuesday, December 9th from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, December 10th from 1 to 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, December 11th, 2014 at 11:00 am with Fr. Antonio Reyes and Fr. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Starr, Danielle, Erynn, Amanda, Wendy and Donna. Pallbearers will be Steve Sabattis, Micheal Jon Smith, Steven Mossop, Nikia Sabattis, Johnny "B" Paul, Michael Solomon and Brian Sabattis Jr. For those who wish, donations in Wayne's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
