Ann Elizabeth (Dunlop) Wilson, age 59, of Miramichi, N.B., died after a courageous battle with cancer at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck, N.S., Dec. 9, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.
Born April 18, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Charles David (Buddy) and Mary Theresa (Heuser) Dunlop of Baddeck. Ann graduated from Baddeck Rural High school 1975 and attended Mt. St. Vincent University in Halifax. She worked in the Miramichi as a medical secretary for many years. Most proud of her two sons, Charles and Shaun, she lived her final days feeling so happy to be in her beloved Baddeck surrounded by family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Buddy and Mary Dunlop.
She is survived by her sons, Charles (Karen), Shaun Wilson; their father, Gordie Wilson; his parents, Velma and Charles Wilson Sr. family, Lynn, Nancy, Ann; her brothers, David (Brenda) Dunlop, Gerald (Lynn) Dunlop, Shawn (Belinda) Dunlop; sister Patricia (Elaine) Dunlop; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Ian, Jack) Mac Killop; David (Jenna, Brynlee) Dunlop; Brittany Dunlop; Kirsten Dunlop and their mother Beverly Dunlop; Kaleigh Dunlop; Andrew (Mary) Dunlop; Theresa Ann (Bruce, Abagail) Phillips; James (Ali) Dunlop; Christie (Greg, Ava) Neate; Jerrianne Dunlop; Liam Dunlop and their mother, Joanne Dunlop; only surviving aunt, Rita Farrell (Heuser).
The body is resting at the Telegraph House, Baddeck, N.S. with viewing on Dec. 12, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Greenwood United Church, Rev Alison Etter officiating, Dec, 13th at 2 p.m. and reception to follow at Greenwood United Church. Burial at Baddeck Forks Cemetery, for family only to follow reception.
A special thank you to Drs. Bethune (Halifax), St-Hilare (Moncton), MacGillvary (Miramichi) Chow, Ritter (Baddeck) and all of the staff at the Baddeck County Memorial Hospital for their care and kindness.
