It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of our loving husband and father, Earl Wilson on Dec. 9, 2014, at Shannex Celtic Court, Tartan Lane.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late James and Christie B. (MacIntyre) Wilson.
Dad was employed with S&L Railway and later Devco Railway for 37 years. He was also a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are loving wife of 53 years, Catherine 'Kay' (MacMillan), daughter Earla,Halifax.
Besides parents, he was predeceased by sister, Mary (Snow) Whalen, brothers, Donald, Hugh, John E. Wilson, nephews, Hughie and Kevin.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Visitation will take place on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Patten Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, in Patten Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Donations may be made to St. Paul’s Presbyterian building fund, Alzheimer Scoiety, or charity of ones choice.
