FREEZE, RONALD MARK - 60 - It is with sadness we announce the passing of Ronald Mark Freeze, loving husband of 38 years to Brenda Angeline (Blanchard) Freeze, who died at home in Bedford, NS on December 9, 2014. Mark is survived by his four children, Shawn (Jannine Freeze), Jeff (Stephanie Freeze), Greg Freeze and Melissa Freeze of Halifax. Loving grandfather to Owen, Olivia and Mya Freeze. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Anne Freeze (Everett Dickie), as well as his three sisters Lynn Bustin, Lori Bennett (Kevin Bennett) and Lisa Jardine (Steve Jardine). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his father, Ronald Clifford "Bud" Freeze. Born and raised in Saint John, NB, Mark spent 39 years as a dedicated government employee, serving on several committees and as president of the Nova Scotia chapter of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Mark was at his happiest working around the house and spending time with his beloved family. His ability to magically transform into the Easter Bunny and many other characters was legendary, and was adored by his children and grandchildren. A supporter of numerous charities, he was passionate about music and played bass with Scooter Moody & The Moon Rockets, as well as The Generation Gap.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 12 from 3 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531) with funeral ceremony to be held Saturday afternoon, December 13 at 2pm.
