Robert Angus Campbell, age 71, died at home in Englishtown, N.S. on Dec 17, 2014.
Born in North Sydney, Robert was the son of the late Thomas and Isabel (Montgomery) Campbell. He worked in construction since the age of 19 and was involved in building most of the post offices in Cape Breton, and crushed most of the gravel used to pave the roads we drive on. Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards at home and in the hospital, watching the news and his favourite TV shows with the love of his life, Gert.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Gertrude (Degaust); sons, Robbie, John (Jess) and Cecil (Kim); daughters, Barbara (Michael) Carey, Marguerite (Kevin) MacDonald, Mary (Jamie) McColl and one brother, Carl (Emiline); grandchildren, Bradley, Daniel, Shea, Kimberly, Sarah, Katherine, Tyson, Tyler, Teagan, Spencer and Riley.
Cremation has taken place, at the family’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral.
