LEONA MARIE SAMMS
November 23, 1947 – December 21, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leona “Marie” Samms announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on December 21st at the age of 67 years. Besides her parents, the late Russell and Janie (nee Collier) Samms, Marie was predeceased by her special friend James Samms. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her her brothers and sisters Ruthie (Edward Hillard) Samms, Nelson (Sharon) Samms, James (Beatrice) Samms, and Frank (Eva) Collier all of Codroy, nieces and nephews Jennifer (Ephriam Smith) Samms Cook's Harbour NL, William Samms and Shelly (Jamie) Hillard both of Codroy and Gordon Samms of Labrador, one great niece Erica and two great nephews Brady and Austin and special caregiver Minnie Hilliard plus a large circle of special friends. By request, private family visitation has taken place. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, December 23rd at 2 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Codroy with Rev. Stephen Maki officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the family.
