It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertram Spencer announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Victoria; children: Keith (Susan), Martensville, Saskatoon, Karen Colford (Tom), St. John’s, Ken (Princelene), Bonne Bay, Kerry (Lorraine), Burlington, ON, and Kirk (Karen), Kemptville, ON; grandchildren: Robert, Micheal, David, Dustin, Duncan, Simon, Terri Lynn, and Lindsey; 3 great-grandchildren; step-children: Gary Bradbury (Trudy), Ted Bradbury (Susan), Glenda Cunning (Roy), Carl Bradbury (Wendy), Robert Bradbury (Gertrude), and Mark Bradbury (Beth); 18 step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren; sisters: Eileen Oake (Robert), Margaret Alyward (Don), Marie Cole (Ray), and Joan Taylor (Bryan); brothers: Fred (Blanche) and Brian (Mary), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Winnie and Alexander Spencer and step-grandson Aaron Bradbury. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Oakland United Church, with Reverend Wendy Lowden officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
