GROUNDWATER, HARRY ERNEST - 1927-2014 - Harry Ernest Groundwater, 87, of Moncton, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Born in Moncton on September 1, 1927 he was the son of the late Gordon and Minnie (Steeves) Groundwater. He was a member of the NB pipe fitters Union, local 325 and a former board member of Elmwood Cemetery Company. He was a Corporal with the Reserve Army and served with the NB Tank Regiment. Survived by daughter Cathy Jardine (Darren) of Riverview; son James Groundwater of Moncton and one granddaughter Larissa Jardine. Harry was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Shirley MacLeod; daughter Nancy; sisters Hazel and Jean; brothers Bill, Ralph, Ken and Jim.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB. on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. By request there will be no public funeral service held. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
