Passed peacefully away on his 90th birthday and Christmas Day, at the Carbonear General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (nee Bishop); daughter, Cynthia; son, Jeffrey; grandson, Chad; parents, James and Asenith; sister, Esther. Leaving to mourn and to celebrate his life with thanksgiving are 7 loving daughters and their families, Daphne Osborne (Fred), Doris Cumby (Larry), Millie Crane (Randell), Diane Higdon (Walter), Roma Meaney (Lawrence), Beverley Bishop (Donald), Wendy Bryant-Carew (Wallace); son-in-law, Gerald Fougere; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered with cherished memories by sister-in-law, Nellie Reid; brother-in-law and good friend, Harrison Bishop (Alma), as well as a large number of nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends, especially his good friend, William Newhook. Resting at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Cavendish on Friday, December 26th from 2:00pm until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday, December 27th at 2:00pm. Internment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Cavendish. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd Memorial Fund, Cavendish. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo.
