Born in Victoria, Gladys passed away at Shorncliffe in Sechelt after a short illness. Predeceased by daughter Lynda, husband Alec Joe and sister Thelma Lower. Survived by son Bob (Sheryl), brother Doug Reid (Gesa), grandsons Tyler Higgs (Alice), Jeremy Higgs (Quyen), Dawson and Carson Warner, great grandchildren Lynnae, Kaylee and Kaden Higgs, nieces and nephews.
Alec and Gladys retired from Vancouver to Sechelt in 1975. Gladys enjoyed her membership with the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club for many years. When she could no longer play, she would fill her days watching golf tourneys on TV. She truly enjoyed retirement on the waterfront until this last year. A private family reception will be held at a later date.
