Passed peacefully Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit of Reta Kenny of Charlottetown, age 72 years.
Loving mother of Peter Dunphy (Charlene), Maggie Dunphy (Carmine Spagnuolo) and Jamie Bell (Amanda). Reta was a cherished grandmother of Sebastian, Sarah, Dylan, Nicole and Destyni-Rose. She will also be remembered by her former husband, Tom Dunphy; brothers - John (Mary), Eric (Lila), Ian (Mary), Ronnie (Betty) Kenny; and sisters - Laura Gallant (Alfred) and Marie McCormack.
Reta was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Catherine Kenny (nee O'Donnell); her former husband, Joe Bell; and brother-in-law, Vince McCormack.
Reta was a caring and devoted LPN who worked at the former Provincial Sanitorium and then onto finish her career at Beach Grove Home.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home. There will be no visitation as per request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Charlottetown, Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow later at the St. Lawerence O'Toole Cemetery, Green Meadows.
