LANDRY, SALOMÉE - 1920 - 2014 - Salomée Landry, 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Castel des flots bleus, Cap-Pelé. Formerly of Bas Cap-Pelé, she was widow of the late Aldoria Landry (2004). Born on July 16, 1920 in Haute Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Mélème Babineau and Léonie (Boudreau) Babineau. She is survived by two daughters: Louise (late Théogène) Robichaud of Quebec and Roberte (Fernand) Jacob of Bas Cap-Pelé; two sons: Armand (Monette) Landry of Grand Barachois and Willie (Micheline) Landry of Bas Cap-Pelé; two sisters: Simone Robichaud of Shediac and Jeanne Dupuis of Oshawa ON; seven grandchildren: Marc-André, Sophie, Manon, Sébastien, Christelle, Renée and Mathieu: six great grandchildren: Chloé, Xavier, Amelia, Alice, Alexandre and Matéo. She was predeceased by her husband, Aldoria (2004); five sisters: Yvonne LeBlanc, Doris Léger, Élise Gervais, Sara McGraw, and Marguerite Landry; three brothers: Edgar, Mélème and Alfred.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours are Friday, January 2nd, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9 pm and Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 from 9:30 am until departure time. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Salomée, a contribution to the Dépôt Alimentaire – Food Depot will be greatly appreciated.
