Oct, 13, 1925 - Dec. 30, 2014. Passed peacefully away in the comfort of his home on December 30, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Mr. William Clarence Smith, Retired firefighter with the St. John's Regional Fire Department. Predeceased by parents Moses and Maude Smith. Leaving to mourn his wife Maisie of 69 years, Sister Ruby Earle (Art); Daughters Marilyn (Woodrow) Compton, Carol (John) Janes, Judith Pashley, Son Barry (Cathleen) Smith. Grandchildren Stephanie (Mark), Michelle (Paul), Sean (Susan), Michael (Krista), Angela, Megan, Sarah, Nicholas and 4 Great Grandchildren Allie, Leah, Zachery and Turner. He was greatly loved by family and great friends. He will always be his daughter Marilyn's angel forever in her heart. Resting at Lynch's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay on December 31st from 7-9pm, January 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral will take place on January 2nd at the Clarkes Beach United Church at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
