George Mullin

MULLIN, GEORGE W. - George W. Mullin, 78, of Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Wilfred Noah and Eva (Surette) Mullin. When George was 14, he was employed as a Waterboy for the C.N.R and then as a Section Man until he was 25. He then went to work for School District 2 for the next 25 years, where he was known as “George the Janitor”. George loved children and young people and his hobbies included cars, camping, music and amateur radio (CB), where he was known as “TeaBag Control”. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, especially outings with his brothers and their families. George will be sadly missed by his wife, the love of his life for the past 55 years, Rosaline (Allain); two daughters, Shelly Mullin (Ted McGraw) and Lisa Cormier (Jeff), both of Moncton; grandsons, Justin (Pam), Nathan and Chance and granddaughter, Haillie, all of Moncton; sister, Florence Strong (Larry) of Moncton; sister-in-law, Elva Daigle of Moncton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Dylan; infant brother, Henry; brothers, Leo (Norma) and Reginald.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, followed immediately by the Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating.
