It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Jolene on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at home with her family by her side.
Born in Calgary, Alta., she was the daughter of Harold ‘Jake’ McNeil and Carolyn Murphy.
Bobby Jolene was a stay at home mom. She was a quiet, good natured, young lady. She enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her two daughters, Kelsey Madyson, Rebecca Gabriel, both at home in Reserve Mines; her son, Nathan McNeil in Canning, N.S. and one brother, Chuck Murphy, Red Deer, Alta.
Bobby Jolene is survived by grandparents, Leo & Marjorie McNeil and Rita Murphy; godparents, Leo Heidt and Cheryl Broderick. Also surviving are special aunt, Ruby Mackie and special first cousin, Linda McNeil.
She was predeceased by her brother, Tyler McNeil and her grandfather, Wilson ‘Rory’ Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral service, officiated by Lay Minister, Martha McDonald is Monday at 3 p.m. in Warden United Church. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date.
All are invited back to the family residence, (104 Holland Street, Reserve Mines) for a reception.
As an expression of sympathy for Bobby Jolene, memorial donations in her memory may be made to Palliative Care or the Cancer Society.
