LEGER, BARBARA - Barbara Leger, 82, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Truro, NS, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Lahey) Beazley. A retired Registered Nurse, she was a member of St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, The Moncton Hospital Nurses Alumnae, the Retired Nurses Association and the Women’s Probus Club of Southeast New Brunswick. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Grand Barachois, winters at their residence in Orlando, Florida, playing bridge, loved to shop on the Shopping Channel and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara will be sadly missed by her son, Raymond Leger (Janice) of Shediac; precious grandchildren, Michael, Jeremy, Alexandre and Emily and cherished great- grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Leger (2012); son, Jean-Paul; brothers, Jack and Bill; sister, Veronica.
A Service to Celebrate Barbara’s Life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Paul Breau officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe in the spring.
