It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Young announce her passing at the Bay St George Long Term Care Center on Saturday January 3rd 2015 at the age of 86 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Martin, her six sons: Larry (Mary Ann) in Port au Port, Calvin (Myra) of Marches Point, Clifton (Geneva) of Stephenville, Brian of Alberta, Donald (Vicky) of Marches Point, Jerry (Lynn) of Whitby Ontario, her seven daughters Edna (Nat) Childs of Stephenville, Monica Thorne of St. John’s, Alma Young (Kenneth) of Mount Pearl, Linda Young (Paul Cote) of Kippens, Brenda McDonald (Rick) of Alberta, Sharon (Stanley) Companion of Brampton Ontario and Donna Hoskins of Boswarlos. Also leaving to mourn her brother Phillip Young in Stephenville, her two sisters Eva Duffney of Boswarlos, Margaret Young of Stephenville, a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Irving, her infant daughter Bessie, her six brothers Emmanuel, Chesley, Arthur, Aloysius, Herb, Vincent and her sister Annie. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 from Russell’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Thursday January 8th 2015 at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen’s Parish on West Street with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
