Passed peacefully away at Glenbrook Lodge on January 3rd, 2015 in his 73rd year, Edward Samuel (Ted) Merils. Predeceased by parents Edward and Jean Merils. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife Shirley Merils, sons Geoffrey, Rodney and Stephen (Andrea), special grandson Grant, sister Carol (Lloyd) Stockley and family, sister in law Rosalind (Roy) Gosse and family, also a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation will take place Tuesday, January 6, and Wednesday, January 7 from 12 noon - 9 p.m. from Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8 at 11 a.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Michael's Building Fund or a charity of one's choice.
