WALKER, CARRIE JOYCE - 1931 - 2015 - Carrie Joyce Walker (nee Hatt), 83, of Woodstock , New Brunswick, wife of Raymond Walker, died at the Carleton Manor, on January 4, 2015. Born on November 22, 1931 in Cambridge Narrows, NB she was the oldest child of Avery and Jennie Hatt. Carrie attended school until grade 11, completing high school in Gagetown, then Normal School in Fredericton. Carrie taught school in Lakeville, Cambridge Narrows, Williamstown and Quebec. Besides her husband of 58 years, Carrie is survived by her five children, David (Florence) Woodstock, Susan Lawrence (Allison) Passekeag, Charles (Mary Ann), Woodstock, Richard (Donna) Fredericton, Harold (Terri) Woodstock; grandchildren: Michael, Jennifer, Jordan, Jillian, Brock, Janna, Kristen and Adam; great-grandchildren Brianna and Cale; brothers David Hatt (Betty) Bath, Richard Hatt (Frances) Riverview, Robert Hatt (Margaret) Rothesay. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Arthur Hatt (Florida). The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Carleton Manor that supported Carrie through their care and attention while she lived there for the past two and a half years.
Resting at the Culberson Funeral Home 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB with visitation on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00 am. from The Culberson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale MacDonald officiating. Interment to take place at the Williamstown United Church Cemetery in the Spring. Donations may be made to the Carleton Manor Foundation, the Williamstown United Church Cemetery Fund, or the charity of the donor's choice.
