
Alexander (Alex) Fraser
Alexander (Alex) Fraser, age 51, of Fortune, P.E.I., passed away peacefully on Jan. 4, 2015 in Souris, P.E.I., after a lengthy illness.
Born in Halifax on April 24, 1963, he was the son of Ken Fraser, Bridgetown, N.S.; brother of Mike (Lorrie), Riverview, N.B.; Rob (Sharlotte), Richmond, ON; sister, Laurie, Fredericton, N.B.
He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret, and his step mother, Madge, who loved him very much. He was also predeceased by his sister, Leslie.
Alex had a very special and successful career in the wholesale electrical trade, most recently with Nedco Electric, New Glasgow, N.S. A gentle soul, he enjoyed his family, his dog, Dee, and especially his music, fishing, song writing and his guitar.
Alex is survived by his devoted life partner, companion and friend Darlene (Veld) Lavie; brothers, Mike and Rob; sister, Laurie; as well as several nieces and nephews, especially Cody, Zachary and Ava.
A very special thank you to June Veld and Wally Mellick for their support and hospitality through this very difficult time.
At his personal request, cremation has taken place and no public funeral or service will be held. At his request, ashes will be spread on the beach at North Lake and on his grandfather's grave in Dartmouth, N.S.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dingwell's Funeral Home in Souris, P.E.I. where you may leave a note of condolence.
Rest in Peace Alex, you were very special and loved very much.
