Doreen J. Goodyear of Moncton, New Brunswick (formerly of Roddickton), age 60, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2014. Born in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Virginia (Peddle) Fry. Doreen was a retired Registered Nurse with 30 years’ service. She was a member of St. John’s United Church in Moncton and the John Wesley United Church in Roddickton. Doreen will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years, Clarence Goodyear; daughter, Carla Bellefleur (Luc) of Moncton; son Michael Goodyear of Halifax, Nova Scotia; grandchildren Nicholas and Chloe; sisters, Sheila Lynch (John) of Lewin’s Cove and Bonnie Piercey (Jim) of Gander; niece and nephews; mother-in-law, Ruby Goodyear and sister-in-law, Pauline Cooze (Emerson), both of Badger’s Quay. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Baby Girl Goodyear and one sister, Joan Fry. A memorial service for Doreen was held at St. John’s United Church, Moncton on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Aaron Billard officiating.
