MORRISON, MABEL MARY - The death of Sister Mabel Mary Morrison RN of Rocmaura Nursing Home , Saint John, NB and formerly of Chatham Head, NB, occurred at her residence on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the age of 86. Born in Chatham Head, NB, Mabel was the daughter of the late Edward and Luce (Roussell) Morrison. For 25 years, Mabel was a Nun and was a retired Nurse who worked as a head nurse at a Trauma Center in Seattle, Washington. She was also involved in the CWL and a Prayer Group in Saint John, NB. Mabel is survived by one brother: Handley of Chatham Head, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mabel is predeceased by: four sisters: Viola, Irene, Elizabeth and Annie and two brothers: Albert and Edward Jr.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head, NB on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 @ 11 AM with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In Mabel’s memory a donation may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
