It is with great sadness that the family of Jeff Vail announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015. Predeceased by his mother, Clarice Vail, in 2008. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Gail, daughters Jennifer (Keith) Smart and Amanda; canine companion Abby; his father Fred Vail, sisters Janice (Keith) Upshall, Joanne (Bernie) Christopher; mother and father in-law Inez and Roy Keeping, sister in-law Glenda (Paul) Ripley and Robert (Wanda) Keeping. Also leaving to mourn: nieces and nephews Hilary, Andrew, Ashley, Lauren, Colin and Sarah, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large circle of friends, along with the staff and colleagues at St. John's Veterinary Hospital. Flowers or donations to the family trust fund are gratefully accepted. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, January 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, January 19 at 10 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, with interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
