Walter Killoran

KILLORAN, WALTER CHARLES - The death of Walter Charles Killoran occurred on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Villa Providence in Shediac at the age of 87. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late James and Mary A. (Talbot) Killoran. His variety of jobs including farmer, teacher, janitor, news reporter, cashier and general office clerk, took him to many different locations, including Hampton and Saint John, Montreal and Boston. He volunteered many hours in his native Belledune at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, also as a canvasser for different organizations, performer and dancer and Master of Ceremonies. After taking early retirement from Brunswick Mining & Smelting, he resided in the Moncton area. He is survived by his brother, Fr. Joseph Killoran of Comox, BC and by his loyal friends, Donald Horsman of Moncton and Adeline Fisher of Riverview. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Ivo, Henry and Arthur; sisters, Ellen and Mary-Alice.
At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Thank you to the Staff and Volunteers of Villa Providence, Shediac, for the care and compassion shown to Walter during three year stay with them.
