COPELAND, Lillian – 91, of Pictou, passed away Jan. 17, 2015 in Valley View Villa, Riverton.
Born on March 3, 1923, in Northumberland, England, she was a daughter of the late Henry & Elizabeth Ann (Tellum) McCauley.
She moved with her family to Canada when she was two years old.
Lillian worked for many years alongside her parents at the Mayflower Restaurant in Lyons Brook, which they owned and operated, and then she worked for the Department of Highways until her retirement.
Lillian lived at the Valley View Villa for the past four years where she was well cared for and was dearly loved.
Lillian is survived by sons, Allen (Glenda) Roberts, Saltsprings; Henry (Murial) Roberts, Tatamagouche; grandchildren, Michelle, Virginia, Myrna-Lori, Starr, Melissa; and seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Roberts; second husband, Norman Copeland; brother, Harry McCauley.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m on Wednesday with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating.
