SMITH, JUNE PEARL - Unexpectedly at her residence on January 19, 2015, Mrs. June Pearl (Fraser) Smith, beloved wife of Wally Smith of Utopia, NB. Born at Moncton, NB on August 13, 1942, she was the daughter of Mildred "Babe" (Murray) Fraser and the late Harris Fraser. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Wally, June is survived by her mother: Mildred "Babe" (Murray) Fraser; her son: Mark Smith of Oromocto, NB; two daughters: Pamela (Larry) Babcock of St. Stephen, NB and Krista (Steve) Pardek of Vancouver, BC; five grandchildren: Brandon, Joey, Amber, Shay and Melan; one brother: Sonny (Peggy) Fraser of Harcourt, NB; three sisters: Myra Fraser of Moncton, NB, Barb (Pat) LeBlanc of Ottawa, ON and Kathy Baiani of Moncton, NB as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father: Harris Fraser. Prior to her retirement, June was supervisor of the cafeteria operations at Fundy High School for several years. She was an avid crocheter and enjoyed to sew and will be fondly remembered for the special blankets she made. Reading was also a great pastime but her greatest passion was for her family and grandchildren which was everything to her. June was also a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Branch # 40 and Granite Town Seniors. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB. In keeping with June's wishes there will be no visiting or service at this time. A memorial service will be held in the spring. In June's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice will be appreciated by the family.
