
Frederick Wilson Stuckless

It is with sadness, but thanksgiving for a long and full life, that the family of Wilson Stuckless announce his passing at the Long Term Care Unit of Notre Dame Bay Memorial Hospital, Twillingate at the age of 98. Mr. Stuckless was a World War II Royal Navy veteran, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, an 80 year member of the Royal Orange Lodge and Royal Black Preceptory and a longtime member of the Lewisporte Masonic Lodge. Predeceased by his wife Elva (nee Hopkins),daughter Bonnie Crossley, step-daughter Ruth Black, parents Tom and Bessie Stuckless, brothers Botsford, Warwick, Mark and Clifford Stuckless and sister Olive Card. Leaving to mourn daughters Joan (Glynn Foster) of Springdale, Carolyn (Jim Hodder) of Topsail; grandchildren Wilson Black (Lorna ), Barbara Black, Peter Foster (Carol ), Cpl. Robin Vardy (Sabrina ), Elizabeth MacDonald (Josh), Billy Cooper (Michele). Brother Ross (Emily), sister Rose Hopkins; 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service was held January 26, 2015 from Central United Church Twillingate, officiated by Rev. Arthur Elliott. Interment took place at United Church Cemetery, Little Harbour, Twillingate. Arrangements entrusted to Isles funeral home,Twillingate.
