BRUHIER, IRVIN THEODORE
Irvin Bruhier of Saint John, husband of Laurel (Laurie) (Bradley) Bruhier, passed away at home on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
Born in Mullins River Town, Belize, CA on July 26, 1928, he was a son of the late Arthur and Manuela (Babb) Bruhier. Irvin worked for the City of Saint John as the Manager of Development Control.
In addition to his wife Laurie, Irvin is survived by a son, John Bruhier (Joan) of England, daughters Verne Astaphan (the late Kris) of Toronto, ON, Grace Calford (Ross) of St. Catharines, ON, Suzette Bruhier-White (Douglas) of Newfoundland, Catherine Bruhier-Pacini (Steve) of Los Angeles, and Emily Robins (Christopher) of St. Catharines, ON. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers Cardinal (Audrey) of Saint John, Astor (Carman) of Avondale, Arizona, Ronald of Belize, and sisters Petronilla Robinson (Frederick) of Belize, Elva Thompson (Thomas) of Chicago, Marjorie Henderson (the late George) of Los Angeles, Rena Castillo (the late Ted) of Belize, and Odessa Lacruise (the late Kenneth) of Jamaica.
Irvin was predeceased by his parents, and his sisters, Nicolasa Kislin, and Alicia Hornby.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Saint John 1st Wesleyan Church, 399 Boars Head Road, on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
