COWIE, LOIS "ALEXA"
The passing of Lois “Alexa” Cowie, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born on August 21, 1924 in Nashwaaksis, NB, she was a daughter of the late Beecher and Hazel (Dorcas) Cowie. Alexa was a Physiotherapy Assistant and a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church.
Alexa is survived by three nephews, Andrew Cowie (Denise Norrad) of Lincoln, NB, Brent Cowie (Lisa) of Fredericton, NB and Joel Cowie of Fredericton, NB; special friends, Pearl Nixon, Vivian Henderson and Sherry Arbeau; close neighbours, Sherrie and Ron Evans.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Cowie.
Visitation will take place York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm. A Graveside Service will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date.
