It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rachael Shirley Brewer on Feb. 7, 2015 at Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Glace Bay, Rachael was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Currin) Morgan.
Rachael had a love for nature. She enjoyed going for walks on the beach with her family, as well as picking berries and had a special love for her garden, which she would spend a lot of time looking after. Rachael was an avid reader and liked doing puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Charlie, Dominion; daughters, Sheila Rideout, Newfoundland, Shirley (Kevin) Tracey, Amherst; sister, Brenda (Benny) Corbett, New Waterford; grandchildren, Alisa, Kevin, Robie and Stephanie (Darryl McNeil). She is also survived by her great-grandchild, Carter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Graham Brewer, four sisters and one brother.
Cremation has taken place. Respecting Rachael’s wishes there will be no service. Burial will be held at a later date.
