We are devastated to announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Brian Glenn Dove, 48, a resident of Sydney River, on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in North Sydney, Glenn was the son of Wilfred and Victoria (Lemoine) Dove, of Tobin Road, North Sydney.
Glenn graduated from Cape Breton University with Clinical Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was presently employed as Director, Strategic Sourcing (Clinical) for the Province of Nova Scotia. He was previously employed as local area manager for Cape Breton at Canada Post from 2011 to 2014 and he also worked for 20 years for Cape Breton District Health Authority as Manager of Clinical Engineering.
Glenn’s kind disposition and smile warmed the heart of all who knew him and when he laughed it truly come from his toes. He loved the game of golf and was known for his “wicked long shot”. His greatest accomplishment in life were his three beautiful daughters, Madison, Gracie and Abbey.
Besides his parents, Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Tracy (Edwards) Dove; his daughters, Madison, Gracie and Abby; by his sisters, Debi (Victor) Power, Betty Young, Nancy Dove and Sheila Dove; by his brothers, Wilfred (Susan) Dove and Stephen (Amanda) Dove; his mother-in-law Marilyn Edwards, sister-in-law Kelly (Lyndon) Chaisson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Glenn was predeceased by his father-in-law Jimmy Edwards.
Glenn’s passing has left a huge void in the lives of everyone that was fortunate to have known him or spent time with him. Glenn, we are truly blessed to have had you in our lives, we will never forget you.
Visitation for Glenn will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, North Sydney with Rev. Ritchie Robinson officiating.
