Mary Reed

Passed on: February 11th, 2015

MARY LOUISE REED The “Reed Matriarch” passed away, gently and peacefully, in her 98th year on February 11, 2015 at Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Courageous and cheerful to the end, Mary joins her beloved husband, best friend and soul mate William Kenneth (Ken) who predeceased her on July 5, 2003. The youngest child of Peter and Katherine (Ens) Epp, she was born near Waldheim SK on January 15, 1918. Both her parents and her brothers Walter, Bill and Art and her sisters Martha and Annie predeceased her. She leaves to mourn her and be thankful for a lifetime of love, support and devotion her three children and their families: Bill (Karen) and daughter Beth (Adam Kusch); Carole (Bill Harris) and their children BJ (Denise Miller and children Liam and Natalie), Whitney (Maggie Kuran), Medorann (Mat Boucher Plante and children Matéa and Kycen), Burkie (Tyler Adams, her daughter, Kennedy and their son Jaxon); and Bob (Leslie) and their children, Emily (Tim Halfyard), Katherine (Ryan Peel), Dianna (Kyle Boos) and Thomas. She was a long-time resident of Prince Albert, a member of Wesley United Church and the "Vesper Circle", a proud “banding” and “music” Mom, an avid ball player, curler and bridge player, a long-time member of the Watsonaires and Wesley choir, and a full supporter of her husband and family in all their many activities. Heaven’s choir will sing a bit sweeter now that it is enhanced by another stellar alto! A Celebration of Life service and a private interment will take place in Prince Albert at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Mary, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
