Bill Marshall of Nackawic, N.B. passed away on Feb. 16, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a brief illness.
Bill was born in Sydney, N.S. in 1950, a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Cameron) Marshall.
Bill’s love of hockey was evident-firstly, he was a longtime New York Islanders fan and secondly, he loved coaching and being a part of the Nackawic Nighthawk Hockey Association. Bill was a generous, kind-hearted, humorous human being, never a bad word to say about anyone, something we could all aspire to be.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Clare (MacDonald) Marshall; a daughter, Erin Wright (Keith), Newmarket, Ont.; a son, Kris Marshall (Michelle), Calgary, Alta.; and his pride and joy, his three grandchildren, Ireland, Sydney and Kael; an uncle, Jack Cameron; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Dr., Nackawic on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mac Campbell officiating.
