Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2009, of Jessie Irene Wentzell, Charlottetown, age 74 years. Dear mother of Bruce Wentzell (Suzanne), Heather Wentzell and William Stevenson. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Eugenia, Devin, Derek, Alex, Carissa Frenette, Brina Frenette, Courtney and Jakob. Sister of Edward Rafuse, Marguerite Wendell, Pauline Singer and Vivian Pyke. Predeceased by her husband Bruce Wentzell Sr. and by her brothers and sisters Charlie Rafuse, Gerald Rafuse, Carl Rafuse, Clyde Rafuse, Dorothy Tucker and Marjorie Blakney. Jessie spent many years volunteering for the Kidney Foundation. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. No visitation by personal request. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Charlottetown, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment later in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, N.S. Flowers gratefully declined.
