Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, John 'Jack' Callahan of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 86 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment and a proud veteran of the Korean War. Predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Callahan; two infant siblings: Nellie and Mike; five brothers: Leo, Pat, Bill, Frank and Ned; three sisters: Marie Byrne, Angela Roberts and Veronica Callahan. Left to mourn, two sisters: Kathleen Coombs and Gertrude Connolly, both of Harbour Grace; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Fr. Jose Joaquin conducted the Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 28 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
