GALLANT, LESLIE "WIENER"
Leslie "Wiener” Gallant, 37, of Petit Cap, passed away on February 28, 2015 following a lengthy illness at QE11 Health Sciences Halifax NS. Born August 11th, 1977 in Moncton, he was the son of Aldérice “Abby” and Evelyne Gallant.
Prior to his illness and heart transplant on February 3rd 2015, Leslie was a lobster fisherman and was well known for his wheeling and dealing for almost everything.
He will be sadly missed by his spouse of 19 years Ginette Despres; three children: Jenny and Timmy both of Petit Cap and Kelsey of Alberta; paternal grandparent: Thérèse Gallant (Late Charles); two sisters: Sandra Gallant (Victor Cormier) of Petit Cap, Monique Gallant (Danny Goguen) of Cocagne; two brothers: Hervé Gallant (Darleen Melanson) of Moncton, Bobby Gallant (Tina Chandler) of Saint John and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by a stepson Jason; maternal grandparents: late André and Laura Gallant; paternal grandparent: late Charles Gallant.
A special thank you goes to in-laws Albert, Gilles, Andréa; social worker Paula; nurses: Edith, Sonia and Jen for the excellent care given to Leslie during his illness.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at 10:30 am at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, 2648 chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé.
In memory of Leslie, a donation to the family would be appreciated.
