RICHARD, MARCEL JOSEPH
(1942 -2015)
SAINT-CHARLES, NB - Marcel Richard 73, of Saint Charles passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Monday, March 2, 2015. Born in Saint Charles, he was the son of the late Alban Richard and Marie Anne (Robichaud) Richard.
He attended St. Charles Borromée Roman Catholic Church and he was a member of the Golden Age Club. Before retiring, Marcel was employed as a Trackman for CN for 30 years.
Marcel had a passion for hunting, fishing, bird watching and gardening. He was a man with a big heart that welcomed friends and family with open arms; he had a lot of love to give to all he knew. His home was always open to friends, family and extended family.
Marcel will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Regina (Allain) Richard; three daughters, Murielle Lejeune (Ken), Gisèle Richard (Rodney), Diane Hébert (Mario); two sons, Jacques Richard (Mabel), Paul Richard (Chantal); ten grandchildren, Cody, Shane, Eric, Chase, Cynthia, Vanessa, Sarah, Jesse, Jonathan, Annie, one great-grandson, Alex and two God Children, Lise Savoie and Reginald Thibodeau. He is also survived by seven sisters, Lucie Gallant (late Joe), Aline Richard (Tim), Jeanne Hébert (Vincent), Sr. Maria Richard f.m.a., Irène Laplante (Henri), Marie-Claire Leblanc (Gilles), Denise Fenety (Rod); three brothers, Norbert Richard (late Elaine), Leonard Richard (Jeanne), Claude Richard (late Debbie); one sister-in-law, Casilda and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, one sister Eveline Doiron and three brothers, Yvon Richard, Jean Richard and Gérard Richard.
Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto beginning on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Friday from 12:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm, St. Charles Borromée Roman Catholic Church, Saint Charles. Interment will be held at a later date.
Donations in Marcel's memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or Home Palliative Care Extra Mural Kent would be appreciated by the family.
