SMITH, Gordon John — Passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 18, 2009. Gordon Smith aged 83 years. Predeceased by parents: Florence and Andrew; sisters: Georgina Parsons and Shirley Samuelson. leaving to mourn his wife: Rita; son: Dale (Helen); brother: Andrew Smith (Helen) of Pembroke Ont.; brother-in-law: Harold Parsons of Mt. Pearl; granddaughter: Donna Teasdale (Michael) and grandson: Dale, as well as many other relatives and friends. Cremation had taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
