HICKEY, ELLEN
Sister Ellen Eileen Hickey of Patience Lane, Fredericton, formally of Miramichi, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chambers Hospital on Monday, March 2nd, 2015 at the age of 92. Born in Boiestown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Weston and Nora (McNeil) Hickey. She was a schoolteacher for 38 years.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Mary and Noreen Carr and brothers, Leo and Laurie Carr.
Sister Ellen Eileen Hickey is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 3 pm at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery later in the spring.
In her memory, donations to St. Mary’s Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
