MURRAY, DOUGLAS
1953 - 2015
Douglas “Dougie” Murray, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the age of 61. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Watson and Julia Murray.
Douglas will be sadly missed by his wife Judy (Steeves), children; Stewart (Barbara), April (Ian) Morton, Shannon (Colin) McClure, grandchildren; Zachary, Abigail, Peyton, Leah, step-grandchildren; Emma and Sarah. Doug will also be missed by his siblings; Mary Currie, James (Ruth) Murray, Joan (Owen) Anketell, Jean Godfrey, Jane Allain, Dale (Marion) Murray, Nancy (Keith) MacNaughton, Fred (Marnie) Murray, Ken Murray, Sharron Snook, and Mike (Lillian) Murray as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Douglas was predeceased by his son Ryan Andrew, brothers Gilbert and Sterling, sisters-in-law; Olive “Sis” , Doris and Helen, brothers-in-law; George Allain, James Godfrey, Manzer Currie.
Douglas was self-employed, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors with his family.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2:00pm.
