Glen, Dorothy Beatrice, 88, Debert passed away on March 6, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Dorothy was born in Woodford, England, December 30, 1926. She worked many years with her husband on their dairy farm in Debert. She also ran a second-hand store in Debert. Dorothy may have been best known for all her years of volunteer work and instruction with the St. John’s Ambulance First Aid courses. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Angela, Debert; sons, Roger Slingo, England, Robert and Michael both of Debert; grandchildren, Torry Glen-Higgins, Pamela Glen, Ethan Glen, Marcia MacKenzie; brother, Malcolm and sister, Iris, both of England. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, William; brother, Reg; sister, Margaret. No visitation by request. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Carol Gillard officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N.S.
