Duckie passed away peacefully in Halifax with his sister by his side on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Born in Sydney, March 2, 1954, he was the son of the late Joseph Eugene and Lena (Conohan) Vigneau.
Duckie was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. He spent much of his earlier years enjoying his love for the outdoors with family and close friends.
He excelled in his field as a sheet metal expert.
He is survived son Donnie Vigneau, Prince Edward Island; daughter Robin Vigneau,Antigonish and son Bryce Mac Lean, Alberta. He is also survived by brothers Joseph Vigneau Jr. (Shelley), Clearwater, B.C.; Charles Vigneau, Sydney; Mark Vigneau (Arlyne),Whitehorse; sisters, Barbara Marshall (Donald), Lower Sackville; Shirley McInnis Ringo (Ron), Utah; Glenda Aucoin (Bill), Whitehorse and his daughter/sister as he affectionately called her, Tina Halloran (Troy), Wawa, Ont.. Duckie had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, Bill Brown and Hardge Youden. Duckie had a special close relationship with his aunts and uncles, Kay Violande (Johnny), Mary Jacobs, Fred Conohan (Marsha), Tucker Conohan (Rose), Doboy Conohan (Joan), Rosie Kulchyski (Basil).
Visitation for Mr. Vigneau will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, both at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel.
