LeBLANC, ALBAN
Alban LeBlanc, 96, of Manoir Pascal Poirier, formerly of Scoudouc, passed away peacefully on March 09, 2015. Born in Bouctouche on December 22, 1918, he was the son of the late Fabien LeBlanc and Geneviève Caissie.
He was a Second World War veteran with the Royal Canadian Army based in New Brunswick, Ontario and three years in Quebec. Before his retirement, he was a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife Rita Bastarache; three daughters: Simonne LeBlanc (Claude), Norma LeBlanc (Marcel Bourque), Odette Frigault (Donatien) all of Scoudouc; two sons: Omer (Thérèse) of Dieppe, Paul-Émile (Maria LeBlanc) of Bouctouche; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by one daughter: Dorine; seven sisters: Élise, Henriette, Nathalie, Marie-Aurélie, Germaine, Aurore, Aurélie and six brothers: Jaddus, Donat, Maxime, Jean (Johnny), Adolphe, François (Frank).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac. Visitation will be Thursday, March 12th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Friday March 13th from 2:00pm until time of departure (2:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 13th, 2015 at 3:00pm at Saint-Jacques le Majeur Roman Catholic Church, 3091 route 132, Scoudouc.
In memory of Alban, a contribution to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick and to the Scoudouc Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
