It is with deep sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of Jeffrey "Jeff" Michael Roach at the age of 38. Jeff passed away in Albian Village, Alberta unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of Michael and Gail (Dines) Roach.
Jeff was a well loved young man whose life impacted anyone he came in contact with. Most important to him was his family whom he loved to brag about. He especially loved spoiling his nieces and nephews. He was a selfless man who took great joy in making people happy and putting a smile on your face. He was a hard worker, starting his career at Tri-Gil on the Strait Crossing where he developed his passion for construction. He became a great foreman who brought out the best in everyone that worked for him. He was an accomplished sportsmen and spent many years playing basketball in Port Elgin and with the Titans High School team.
In addition to his parents he will be deeply missed by his siblings Chris (Maryann), Port Elgin, Jennifer (Paul Trenholm), Port Elgin, Andrew (Rachel Baker), Grand Falls, NB, his fiance and best friend Sarah Gray and her son Evan; nieces and nephews Noah, Ethan, Jasmine, Mason, Colton, and Hayden.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at the Jones Funeral Centre, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, NB (506-538-2241) on Thursday, March 12 from 6 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St James United Church, Baie Verte, on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2 pm, Wayne Jarvis DLM officiating. Burial will take place in the spring.
Those wishing to make a donation in Jeff's memory may do so to the Port Elgin Basketball Association, the Sackville Minor Hockey Association, or the charity of your choice.
