RICE, ROBERTA
The passing of Roberta Rice of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 2, 1924 in Newcastle Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hattie (McLellan) Rollins.
Roberta was a member of the Sunset Church. She owned and operated Bobby’s Lunch in Noonan, NB. She enjoyed hunting and the Rollins family reunions.
Roberta is survived by her daughter, Linda Haines (George) of Fredericton, NB; Dennis Owen (Gerry) of Moncton, NB and Brian Owen (Margie) of Plaster Rock, NB; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Leavitt (Marshall) of Canal, NB and Marilyn Rees (Walter) of Saint John, NB; brothers, Terry Rollins (Anna) of Saint John, NB; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Owen; second husband, Allan Rice; sister, Hilda Powell; brothers, Howard, Willard and Paul Rollins.
Although there will be no visitation or funeral service by request; a graveside service will take place in the United Baptist Cemetery Minto at a later date.
