Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on the 16th Day of March, 2015, Mr. Absalom White of in his 73rd year. Left to mourn his passing are his sister Mary (Clyde) Applin; sister-in-law Augustine White; nieces Annett (Wilfred) Baines and family, Marlene (Kev) Strangemore; nephews Clyde Jr. (Edna) Applin and family, Curtis(Dulcie) and family and Tyrone White, as well as many other family and friends. Absalom was predeceased by his parents Elijah and Nellie White, and his brother Leslie. Visitation took place at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Reef's Harbour, from where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18 with Rev. Harold Harvey and layperson Bernice Baines officiating. Cremation followed the service with burial to be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
